Are You Ready for the Challenge? You Can Be with the Right Mindset.

Owning a Small Business is a Lifestyle.

kevhenne.com was a result of wanting to do better for myself and others. I was burned out from the corporate lifestyle and decided to go into business for myself in 2018. What started out as a weekend side hustle making candles and jewelry became my small business venture, and I never looked back. Now, I'd like to share my journey with you so you can start your own small business.

I firmly believe that anyone can open their own business with a little help and guidance, no matter how old or young you are. Your financial situation and how much you've set aside certainly helps, but it does not mean you can't start today.

With kevhenne.com I can guide you as mentor. Whether you're just getting started or if you need to hurdle over an obstacle or two, reading and analyzing data, market research and applying this information into an action plan is an ongoing cycle for any business - and it can become overwhelming.

Outside of understanding what will work for you and your business, or generating a business plan, there are other key steps (some which are mandatory per local, state and federal governments) which must take place before you're Open For Business. Here are a few things to think about:

  • Develop an idea.

  • Create a business name.

  • Research competitor's regional marketing | vendors | software

  • Map out a business plan.

  • Open a Business Checking | Savings Account.

  • Register your business with your local and state government.

  • Obtain an FIN | EIN with the federal government.

  • Inquire about | Get licenses needed to run your business.

  • Sign up for a paid webhosting service (you need a website).

  • Create or pay someone to design | maintain a website for you.

  • Invest in a payment platform (Stripe | PayPal | Square) for in person and online payments.

  • Create partnerships with competitors | vendors.

These are just some of the steps a new business owner, and some of which are reoccurring (cycling) annually or quarterly, so you can adjust your business goals and demand according to new marketing research data.

I've created a checklist of these items for you to download for free, if you'd like. Click here to access and print your checklist.
